These instructions apply to most modern versions of the Ubuntu Linux Distribution, as well as most of its flavors. The following steps and screenshots will help you to connect to UF Wired Service. These steps only need to be performed once. Any student resident with a valid GatorLink username and password can use DHNet Wired Service. If you have forgotten your GatorLink password, please visit http://www.gatorlink.ufl.edu/ or call (352) 392-HELP.

Step 1

At the top right corner of your desktop, look for the wireless icon and click it. Click on Edit Connections…

Step 2

Select Wired Connection 1, then click the Edit… button.

Step 3

Go to the 802.1x Security tab and in the Authentication dropdown menu select Protected EAP (PEAP).

Please enter your GatorLink username and password in the fields Username and Password, respectively. Leave Anonymous identity blank.

You Are Now Connected!
