Removing Flash

NOTE: This article contains instructions for updating Adobe Flash for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.  If you are not using Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, please refer to this tutorial for removing older versions of Adobe Flash Player.

Please be aware that if you are using Mozilla Firefox, you will also need to update Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer in addition to updating the Mozilla Firefox Adobe Flash Player plugin.

The following steps will help you uninstall Adobe Flash Player from your computer.

Step 1

Hit the Windows key + R on your keyboard.

In the window that pops up, type “Control Panel” and hit Enter on your keyboard.

Step 3

Click on Uninstall a program.

Step 4

Click on Adobe Flash Player and then click Uninstall.

Step 5

A windows should pop up asking if you want to uninstall Adobe Flash Player. Click UNINSTALL.

Step 6

The uninstallation should complete within several minutes.
