DHNet Wired Service
UF Housing and Residence Education provides high speed internet access to all residence hall rooms. The DHNet service provides a reliable, secure network centered around the 802.1x security protocol. Our service aims to provide a quick and enjoyable way to access the academic resources you need as well as the internet services you want.
All students need to connect to our wired service is a modern operating system and an RJ-45 ethernet cable. However, because we use security measures beyond a typical ISP, students will need to set up their computers to connect to DHNet services. Students can get assistance setting up by using the DHNet Connection CD provided at check-in, the Wired Tutorials, a DHNet@Home location, or contacting us at 352-392-2171 x10191.
For more information on what types of activity or software is accepted on DHNet services, please visit our policies.
