Tutorial: Connecting to DHNet Wireless service
Recent Linux Distributions Connection Instructions
(Including Fedora 9, and Fedora 10, Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron, and Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex)
We have compiled instructions for the Linux distribution called Fedora 10. Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) and Fedora 9 uses the same network manager application, so this tutorial also applies works for Intrepid Ibex. The following steps will help you to connect to DHNet Wireless. These steps only need to be performed once. Any student resident with a valid Gatorlink user name and password can use DHNet Wireless. If you have forgotten your Gatorlink password, please visit http://www.gatorlink.ufl.edu/ or call (352) 392-HELP.
If your Gatorlink password still does not work, please visit https://my.ufl.edu and select "My Gatorlink Account Status" from the My Account menu. Select the "Resynchronize my Password" tab and then try again.
Low bandwidth users should click here for a text version of this tutorial.
You have now successfully setup the DHNet Wired connection. If you have problems at any time during this setup, visit a DHNet@Home location, call (352) 392-2171 x10191 or complete an iServiceDesk Request.
