Tutorial: Connecting to DHNet Wired service
Using Internet Connection Sharing for the Nintendo Wii
With Windows 7
Please note that for Internet Connection Sharing, you will need the following:
- Nintendo Wii
- Nintendo Wii compatable USB Ethernet Adapter
- Your computer must have two Ethernet ports. Additional Ethernet ports can be added to your computer through USB, PCMCIA and ExpressCard. The ethernet port for connecting your peripheral device should be a Gigabit 10/100/1000 adapter, as we have noticed 10/100 adapters may encounter errors and not function properly with the peripheral.
- An Ethernet cable long enough to reach from your computer to the Game Console. The cable used from your computer to the Ethernet jack on the wall is a straight through.
- Remember this is a temporary solution until this system supports 802.1x authentication
If your computer doesn’t have a second Ethernet port you will need to install one or have a computer service store install one for you.
