Welcome to DHNet
DHNet is the Department of Housing and Residence Education's student network that provides service to our single-student and graduate and family housing residents. It is one of the largest student residential networks with over 10,000 network ports. Each student is provided a network port as part of the housing agreement. Please use the menu on the left to find tutorials for many of our services, a listing of our Rules & Regulations and frequently asked questions that we have been gathering from student responses. Please remember to check the news section below frequently as it has important information for all users.

Internet Connection Sharing with a Nintendo Wii
We have released a guide to share an internet connection with a Nintendo Wii for Windows Vista and Windows XP. Please remember that these are only temporary solutions until this system supports 802.1X authentication.
Ubuntu Linux 8.04 (Hardy Heron) Released
The newest version of the most popular Linux distribution has recently been released. We have provided a guide to assist Ubuntu users to connect to DHNet Wired Service. If you should experience any issues, please visit a DHNet@Home area desk location or call the DHNet@Home phone support line.
Windows XP SP3 Update
Windows XP SP3 is currently available from Microsoft. However, in order to prepare for this release, we have updated the tutorials for Connecting to DHNet Wired Service using Windows XP SP3. Peer to Peer Software & DMCA Violations
Please know that peer-to-peer (file sharing) software, acting as a server, and unauthorized hardware are not allowed to be used on DHNet network. You will risk violating the terms of your Housing contract and/or facing judicial consequences. This policy has not changed and will be strictly enforced. DHNet Wireless for Maguire/UVS Residents
Maguire/UVS residents please use the "DHW" wireless SSID when working with DHNet Wireless service. If you have questions or issues, please contact the nearest DHNet@Home location to get assistance. Continue to use HAWK to report any problems with your connection. Please continue to use the DHNet Wireless instructions as your guide to getting connected properly.
